Jennifer Warwick, Speech & Language Therapist

Jennifer trained as a Speech and Language Therapist in 2003.  Since qualifying she has worked across a range of health, education and charity contexts providing assessment and intervention for children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders and complex communication needs. Jennifer works collaboratively with parents and educators to support and empower them in developing communication and interaction skills in children and young people.

She is an experienced trainer and has designed and delivered a wide range of training packages for schools and parents. Jennifer works closely with the team to assess children and young people in a holistic way to ensure that parents and educators reach a better understanding. Jennifer runs a speech and language therapy practice London communication clinic she is joint author of a clinical assessment and also a manual for parents and educators of young children with a diagnosis of Autism.

Jennifer works with Autistic children and young people of all ages providing assessment and interventions.

Jennifer volunteers as a Research Champion and Advisor for ASD and social communication disorders for the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT). She is committed to research and best practice evidenced through completion of an MSC in Human Communication at City University in 2013.

Dr Rachael McCarthy, Clinical Psychologist

Rachael is a Clinical Psychologist and has worked across a number of different areas of mental health and physical health during her training and career to date.  Rachael specialises in assessing children with neurodevelopmental disorders including Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Intellectual Disability and comorbid conditions including tics and Tourettes, as well as working with families to support their understanding of their child’s needs and behaviour. Rachael currently works within the NHS for a specialist tier 3 service in neurodevelopment disorders in London, as well as working independently.

Rachael has a particular interest in assessing girls with ASD, as it can often be missed or misunderstood resulting in the delay of diagnosis and appropriate support.  Rachael is also experienced in carrying out neuropsychological / cognitive assessments to assess children’s learning strengths and difficulties including the identification of specific learning difficulties such as Dyslexia and attention difficulties.

In addition to working with children with neurodevelopmental disorders and complex conditions, Rachael has worked across many different areas of Paediatrics; these include a Neuropsychology Service in which she assessed children with head injuries, tumors and epilepsy, as well as a psychiatric provision providing psychological assessment and therapies to children and young people with enduring physical and mental health difficulties. 

Dr Mathura, Consultant Paediatrician

Dr Narad S. B. Mathura has been a full-time NHS consultant specialising in the diagnosis of autism and other developmental disorders since 2010. Currently, he is Joint Head of Service and the lead consultant for the Autism and Related Disorders service in Lambeth at Evelina Community Child Health, London, Guys and St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust.

Dr Mathura completed advanced specialist paediatric training at both the Bristol Children’s Hospital and the Children’s Hospital for Wales in Cardiff. He first qualified as a doctor in 1996 from the University of the West Indies, Trinidad. Dr Mathura offers private consultations for autism and developmental paediatrics at the Child & Family Practice, since November 2021.
